Adolescent detained yesterday (9) who would be a shooter. He was found in the city of Yonkers, on the outskirts of New York. The police even offered $13.5 thousand (about $67 thousand) for information leading to him, and said they had spoken to hundreds of people and obtained clear photos from security cameras before making his arrest.

The young man fired at a store security guard after being stopped on suspicion of theft. He was accompanied by two other teenagers. The shot, fired with a .45 caliber gun, hit the leg of the Brazilian woman who was shopping in the store. The security guard was unharmed.

In addition to the shot in the store, he also tried to hit a police officer who chased him down the street. “In the middle of the busiest part of this city, a criminal with a firearm decided to pull the trigger,” said Edward Caban, police commissioner of New York.

The teenager is also considered a suspect in an armed robbery in the Bronx and another shooting in Times Square last month, the police said. He was identified as a Venezuelan immigrant.

The other two teenagers who were with him were also detained, the police reported. Investigators are working to determine their exact involvement in the case, said New York patrol chief John Chell. The three are schoolmates.
