Joe Biden informed Benjamin Netanyahu that the United States will not participate in any potential Israeli counter-offensive against Iran. This information was released by a White House official on Sunday (14).
On the evening of last Saturday (13), Iran sent drones and missiles towards Israel. However, the attack could be seen as a kind of retaliation.
Israeli military aircraft hit the Iranian consulate in the Syrian capital Damascus on the 1st of this month. The attack killed seven Iranian agents, including Mohammad Reza Zahedi, a senior commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.

In response to the attack, the country alerted the United Nations Security Council that it has the right to retaliate. It was also requested that the Council hold an emergency meeting to discuss the situation.
Following the Iranian attack on the Jewish state, a member of the Israeli War Cabinet stated that the nation will “pay at the right time”. “We will build a regional coalition and exact the price from Iran in the right way and at the right time for us,” said Benny Gantz in an official statement.
